The European Tissue Culture Society (ETCS) UK Branch The ETCS was established to promote and support the science of in vitro cell culture and its applications by: - providing an international forum for communications and the exchange of ideas between scientists using cell culture technology
- organising scientific congresses and workshops that are focused on cell science and cell culture techniques
- assisting young scientists, who are new to cell culture, to identify sources of information and make contact with experienced cell scientists who might help them
- promoting good working practices within the science of cell culture

Costs of ETCS (UK) membership
Full member £20 Student member £10 Half of each membership fee is retained by the ETCS UK to support activities in the UK. The remaining balance is forwarded to the parent European organisation.
